Wolf’s electric and induction cooktops provide seamless temperature control precision and sleek designs and allow for more counter space. However, neglecting to clean Wolf glass cooktops properly can damage the surface and hinder their performance. So how do you clean Wolf glass cooktops?
How to Clean Wolf Glass Cooktops
Supplies You’ll Need
- Ceran cooktop cleaner (Wolf suggests Elco® Cleaning Cream)
- Soft Cloths
- Blue-Scotch Brite pad
- Water
- Razor blade scraper

1. Use Recommended Cleaner for Wolf Glass Cooktops
Wolf recommends using one teaspoon of non-abrasive Ceran cooktop cleaner for the surface after completely cooling off. Apply the cleaner to the cooktop surface and wipe clean with a lightly dampened cloth or blue Scotch-Brite pad.
2. Rinse Wolf Cooktop With Water
Rinse the cloth or pad with water and wipe the surface to remove any remaining residue. Repeat as needed until all residue is gone.
3. Remove Remaining Moisture
Once all residue has been wiped away, use a dry cloth to soak up the remaining moisture.
Clean Burnt-On Food Off Wolf Cooktop
We know that spills happen, and if you’re in the middle of cooking, they may become burnt-on messes! For spills with high sugar content or burnt-on spills, Wolf recommends using a razor blade scraper to move the spill to the cool side of the cooktop. Although the Ceran glass is scratch resistant, you should still use the razor blade scraper as gently as possible. How to Clean Hard Water Stains from Wolf Glass Cooktop
Baking soda or vinegar paired with a magic eraser can effectively remove hard water stains caused by spillovers. Mineral deposits from hard water are left behind on hot surfaces once the food or water evaporates. High heat can cause the mineral deposits to burn, making them difficult to remove.
Other Tips For Keeping Your Wolf Glass Cooktop Clean
To clean the control panel, use a soft cloth and a spray degreaser. Spray the degreaser onto the cloth, then wipe the control panel to remove fingerprints and other food particles.
To clean Wolf cooktop stainless steel, apply a nonabrasive stainless steel cleaner with a soft, lint-free cloth.
Proper care of your Wolf glass cooktop not only includes cleaning but also taking other precautions when using the glass surface. When using pots and pans, be careful not to slide them across the cooktop as they can create metal marks and may damage the cooktop surface.
